2016 NFL Season Thoughts and Other Things

2016 NFL PREDICTIONS
Fantasy Prediction - The Titans will win 10 games this year or at least be in playoff contention in Week 17.
Fantasy Football Prediction - Madam Van Schmalfan will not make the Championship game this year after his dynastic run as FF Champion over the years.
Hope and Anticipation in Nashville
The Titans are often overlooked this time of year. They are known (or not known) for being a small market, boring offensively, no superstars, but sweet uniforms. At best they get a 'teams to watch out for', but that hasn't been the case since 2011, the last time they had a winning record. This year they’ve taken another step with the offense. This is a change from years past where the focus was on defense and running out the clock. Marcus Mariota leads the Titans at QB and has surprisingly been able to run the offense with glimpses of what he did at Oregon. The Round 1 bust of Bishop Sankey is finally official as this year the big FA pick was DeMarco Murray. Additionally the Titans drafted the Heisman Trophy winner for the 2nd year in a row with Derrick Henry. Many naysayers felt this was an awful pick, but after 3 pre-season games, critics are singing GM Jon Robinson praises. Another name to look out for is Tajae Sharpe, rookie WR out of UMass. He has excelled and produced a few highlights so far this preseason, along with Andre Johnson, the quietest FA acquisition of the offseason. The additions over the last year have already created waves on the Titans roster, flushing out Dorial Green-Beckham in a trade to the Eagles, with more cuts to come. 2016 should be a refreshing year for Titans fast as they inch up the competitive ranks.
The Rebellion Begins August 31st
It’s 2016 for The League of Yes, which means another year and another opportunity to knock Madam Van Schmalfan from the ranks of Fantasy Football Immortality. Over the years Madam has proven to be an adequate drafter with an unmatchable ability to sit on the waiver wire all morning, day, and night. Whether it’s his 9-3:30 work schedule or 3 months out of the year off season researching, Madam seems to know which unproven players will shine and which veterans he can count on. He often drafts many of the same players from years past and you can count on him drafting Falcon players that always seem to pan out. Madam returns to The League of Yes as a Champion, but this year his reign will end with a mediocre team and failure to advance in the playoffs.
Stay tuned until next week when results of the draft will be released and additional projections will be made!

Opening Day 2012!

Week 1 is almost underway, let's get predictions out of the way. Titans will finish 8-8, Locker will show flashes of greatness in between many 'what were you thinking moments'. CJ2K will run for 1,200 yrds and 10 TDs.

I expect to see the Patriots and Texans in the AFC Champ., with Detroit and GB in the NFC. My sleepers are the Broncos and Bears. Packers will defeat the Patriots in the SB. Definitely a safe pick, but these two teams have the best QBs and best offensive weapons.

Other playoff teams will be Baltimore, Pittsburgh, and Raiders. In the NFC, 49ers, Saints, Falcons.

God bless America and God Bless the NFL.

The Dream Team

An awesome array of talent is forming in Philadelphia. Not since Olajuwon, Pippen, and Barkley joined forces has a sports team looked this good on paper. Asomugha, Rodgers-Cromartie, VY, Cullen Jenkins, are all coming aboard. The Eagles are sure to light up scoreboards this season, but the test will come like it did against the Packers in the Wild Card game last year, one play to win or go home. Vick has the skill to beat any defense but will he be clutch when it matters most remains the question. I see the Eagles owning the division and a rematch against the Packers in the NFC tile game.

I'm also excited for VY. He has lacked the stability and consistancy needed to be an NFL quarterback by putting too much pressure on himself to be great. He will be a part of big plays on the offense but won't play qb full time unless Vick goes down with an injury. Since McNabb left I've become a closet Eagles fan, so I am excited too see how they do.
