2016 NFL Season Thoughts and Other Things

2016 NFL PREDICTIONS
Fantasy Prediction - The Titans will win 10 games this year or at least be in playoff contention in Week 17.
Fantasy Football Prediction - Madam Van Schmalfan will not make the Championship game this year after his dynastic run as FF Champion over the years.
Hope and Anticipation in Nashville
The Titans are often overlooked this time of year. They are known (or not known) for being a small market, boring offensively, no superstars, but sweet uniforms. At best they get a 'teams to watch out for', but that hasn't been the case since 2011, the last time they had a winning record. This year they’ve taken another step with the offense. This is a change from years past where the focus was on defense and running out the clock. Marcus Mariota leads the Titans at QB and has surprisingly been able to run the offense with glimpses of what he did at Oregon. The Round 1 bust of Bishop Sankey is finally official as this year the big FA pick was DeMarco Murray. Additionally the Titans drafted the Heisman Trophy winner for the 2nd year in a row with Derrick Henry. Many naysayers felt this was an awful pick, but after 3 pre-season games, critics are singing GM Jon Robinson praises. Another name to look out for is Tajae Sharpe, rookie WR out of UMass. He has excelled and produced a few highlights so far this preseason, along with Andre Johnson, the quietest FA acquisition of the offseason. The additions over the last year have already created waves on the Titans roster, flushing out Dorial Green-Beckham in a trade to the Eagles, with more cuts to come. 2016 should be a refreshing year for Titans fast as they inch up the competitive ranks.
The Rebellion Begins August 31st
It’s 2016 for The League of Yes, which means another year and another opportunity to knock Madam Van Schmalfan from the ranks of Fantasy Football Immortality. Over the years Madam has proven to be an adequate drafter with an unmatchable ability to sit on the waiver wire all morning, day, and night. Whether it’s his 9-3:30 work schedule or 3 months out of the year off season researching, Madam seems to know which unproven players will shine and which veterans he can count on. He often drafts many of the same players from years past and you can count on him drafting Falcon players that always seem to pan out. Madam returns to The League of Yes as a Champion, but this year his reign will end with a mediocre team and failure to advance in the playoffs.
Stay tuned until next week when results of the draft will be released and additional projections will be made!
